-How does the Endowment for LCCC Work?
The Endowment Fund is administered by the Endowment Trustees with the assistance of a professional investment firm. All contributions given to the Endowment during the first ten years are invested and held in trust. Each year, earned interest is reinvested in the Fund to promote growth and protect the principal against inflation. Reports on the Endowment Fund's principal earnings and disbursements are made to LCCC members annually.

After September 27, 2011, the ELCCC Board of Trustees will be free to implement specific means of supporting the ongoing purposes of Light of Christ Community Church, Sancta Sophia Seminary, her graduates, and/or others who express esoteric Christian values and teach the ancient wisdom traditions.

The assets are managed in accordance with the Endowment's Investment and Spending Policy and are invested in property or socially responsible securities and bonds. Starting initially with three members, the ELCCC Board of Trustees will increase to a maximum of twelve members over the course of the first ten years of the Endowment's existence.

-Why Make a Gift to the Endowment for LCCC?
Light of Christ Community Church has been a leader for twenty years in the dissemination of the ancient wisdom teachings and the manifestation of the Hierarchy in human relationships. The organization has been at the forefront of the Christian movement, opening the doors to spiritual practice regardless of race, cultural heritage, or faith tradition. LCCC needs assistance in the form of charitable gifts, large or small, to ensure that it can continue its vitally important mission for generations to come.

-Dedication of Assets
The Endowment's assets are dedicated irrevocably to charitable, religious, literary, benevolent, scientific, and educational purposes consistent with the mission of LCCC. The Endowment Fund is permanent since the principal will not be spent unless approved by the ELCCC's trustees.

-Invitation
A level of giving exists for every pocketbook. All donations are tax deductible and are totaled during each 12-month period. The Endowment Fund will grow over a 10-year period prior to beginning disbursements to support Light of Christ Community Church, Sancta Sophia Seminary or related groups. Donors will be honored by listing their names in the Endowment's Annual Report in the appropriate contribution category unless anonymity is requested.

-Levels of Giving
Patrons - $5,000 and above. Patrons help us exceed our highest hopes and set higher expectations with "backbone" donations: dollars, property, life insurance, stocks and bonds.
Pacesetters - $365 to 4,999. Pacesetters offer significant financial support to the growth of the Endowment for LCCC.
Principals - $1 to $364. Persons who donate on an occasional basis, but accumulate less than $365 in the 10-year development phase, are among our principal contributors.
Founder's Circle
Founders Circle is open to all who pledge ONE DOLLAR A DAY for the first 10-year phase of the ELCCC's development. For every 100 donors in this circle, half a million dollars in endowment funds can be generated.

-How did the Endowment for LCCC Come to Be?
During LCCC's 20th Anniversary Novena, in 2001, a new non-profit Endowment Fund dedicated to the church's future mission was envisioned by Ann Knight, LCCC Practitioner. In accordance with this guidance, the Endowment's Board of Trustees administers the new, dedicated fund independently from the LCCC Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees of ELCCC is composed of members of Light of Christ Community Church.

-The Essence of Charitable Giving
Charitable gifts are among the best ways we can express our gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon us. These gifts become especially meaningful when we make them to organizations that support the values and ideals we cherish most, the ones that have helped shape our lives.

-Endowment Fund Trustees
Although the need for an endowment fund for Sancta Sophia Seminary has long been on the back burner, it only came to the fore when three Villagers agreed they could take the reins and create a separate nonprofit organization (on July 20, 2001) that will collect funds and hold them in trust for ten years. LCCC Practitioner Ann Knight acted as a catalyst to get the project rolling. The foundation's first trustees are as follows:

STEVEN CHASE, Ed.M, OTR/L, was ordained by LCCC in 2002. He has leadership experience on professional, nonprofit, and church-related boards. After completing his B.S. in occupational therapy in 1982, Steven worked in a variety of clinical settings and was on faculty at Keuka College for five years. He completed his Master of Education degree in educational psychology at Temple University, in 1988. Steven's spiritual studies include completion of the Ayurvedic Studies Program (in Albuquerque, NM) and involvement with the New Group of World Servers through Meditation Mount (Ojai, CA). He maintains balance between full-time work, family life, and dedicated service to Light of Christ Community Church.
