Light of Christ Community Church, Inc. serves as a network for individuals prepared to serve as ministers, teachers and practitioners (lay ministers) through Sancta Sophia Seminary. This growing network, several hundred now, offers an enriched and/or expanded understanding of the esoteric Christian message, Spiritual healing and spiritual counseling. LCCC maintains a daily healing prayer list, honors special needs and has counselors standing ready to offer spiritual aid.

Incorporated in 1981, the small ecumenical congregation does a great work out of Sparrow Hawk Village anchoring a vision of love and service to all. This intentional community is the site designated by spirit to Carol Parrish as a home and campus for Sancta Sophia Seminary.

One description Carol has suggested is to imagine Sancta Sophia as a gem set in a circlet of gold (Light of Christ) surrounded by an aura of love and light. This radiance is the village and its world servers at work doing their meditations and prayers day by day.

Visitors are always welcome to the church, the seminary and the village. Housing for overnight guests can usually be scheduled by making prior arrangements. In this rural setting calling ahead for directions can be helpful.

The Path of Discovery
The Path of Discovery begins when one wakes up to his or her inner self. To dare to ask questions with no limits to answers, experiences or questing sets us free. We may feel fright, anger or curiosity as this veil thins. Often referred to as peeling an onion, the journey inward has begun.

New excitement, new perception and new companions are drawn to the one who discovers the inner nature.

Many keys exist to help us find our hidden nature. Spiritual Science abounds to guide our understanding of both the inner and outer realities. Peace of mind, self-love, new creativity and spiritual gifts exist in the reservoir of the true self.

It has been taught that "...the earliest results of spiritual practices will achieve a considerable improvement and control of health and looks, a growing capacity for happiness, an inability to worry or fear; a gaining of popularity, and freedom from boredom.

"In time, when greater strides are made, there will be immunity from disease, conquering of fatigue, and prolonging of youth. There will be a growing capacity for helping others, a mastery of sorrow and pain, and the development of healing power. A growing inner force will be felt, both for creating ideas and then carrying them out. "*

LCCC is a part of the International Council of Community Churches (ICCC)and serves as a network for individuals prepared to serve as ministers, teachers, and practitioners (lay ministers) steeped in esoteric Christianity. Such persons are prepared for ministry and service through Sancta Sophia Seminary. Each graduate of Sancta Sophia Seminary Preparation for Ministry Program receives the endorsement of the ICCC upon ordination. In keeping with the eclectic nature of the teachings of Light of Christ Community Church, Sancta Sophia Seminary's interfaith approach places a strong emphasis on quality of character, transformation, spirituality, and ethics.

By using an interfaith Christian approach to challenge individuals to live a life of honor and integrity, we find our seminarians to be dedicated to personal development, spiritual life styling, service, and community. LCCC maintains a daily healing prayer list, honors special needs, and has counselors standing ready to offer spiritual aid.

Visitors are always welcome to the church, the seminary and the village. Housing for overnight guests can easily be scheduled by making prior arrangements. We like to imagine Sancta Sophia as a gem set in a circlet of gold (Light of Christ Community Church) surrounded by an aura of love and light. This radiance is the village and its world servers at work doing their meditations and prayers day by day.
