Our Philosophy, Puropse and Tenets
The Philosophy:
Light of Christ Community Church. . . .
Embraces the daily practice of Christianity as a process
of transformation and enlightenment. Promoting the essential Christian
principles as set forth in the Holy Bible, the Aquarian Gospel of
Jesus the Christ, and other sacred scriptures of the world community
of religions, we believe in an oral tradition as well as an outer
form.
We recognize in all prophets a harmony, in all scriptures
a unity, through all dispensations a continuity. We seek to awaken
the Presence within and transform our human nature to live in accord
with spiritual law. We embrace that Consciousness Divine which makes
all sects, classes, nations, and races one beloved community. Unto
this mystical Church and unto its members known and unknown throughout
the world, we pledge the allegiance of our hearts, hands, and minds.
The teachings of LCCC are eclectic and universal.
We seek to teach, encourage and promote spiritual healing in all
its modes and phases. LCCC is an interfaith Christian church and
accepts the teachings of Master Jesus as the Christed One who offers
the Way to humanity through the Christian faith.
Interfaith is a group of western and eastern clergy
dedicated to bringing people of different faiths together so that
we might recognize our common spiritual origin - all people of one
God. Each member of the clergy speaks from his particular background,
while fully recognizing the validity of other religions and supporting
them actively not simply tolerating, but accepting them in truth
and love.
Under these principles we are dedicated to the encouragement
of individual spiritual growth. Ever present is the appreciation
of each life. We salute the "Christ Within" and seek to
unfold that consciousness in all its beauty. |
The Purpose:
To form a religious society which encourages, guides,
and directs individuals toward a greater understanding of themselves
and God by means of the teaching of religion, mysticism, spiritual
science, and psychic development through worship services, educational
programs, and individual counsel;
To establish a church and to charter auxiliary churches,
centers, and study groups;
To establish and operate a graduate level seminary for
the purpose of educating and training ministers and lay persons, to
award appropriate certificates, diplomas and degrees of master's and
doctorate in ministry, theology, philosophy, and/or divinity to those
who successfully complete the requirements;
To ordain ministers for the promotion of Christian principles;
To commission practitioners (lay ministers) as part
of the ministry to encourage, teach, and practice divine and/or spiritual
healing in all its modes and phases;
To certify Teachers of Esoteric Philosophy and the spiritual
benefits of a moral life. |
